Message from the Director Many have heard the saying, “The harvest is rich yet the labourers are few!” This is a saying that Jesus uttered in regards to the fact that there is so much work to do in the mission field of spreading the Gospel and walking with those hungry to grow in relationship with Christ. For this to be done effectively so few people heed the call to serve in such a way. We too know this sentiment. Looking around the landscape that is youth ministry in the Catholic Church there is an abundance of work to do. As mentioned in last week’s Update, across Australia, the Church is doing its best to accommodate the needs of young people. Yet, more and more young people are needed to heed the call to serve in the field of youth ministry. Please join with us as we embark on a mission for the remainder of the year to pray that the Lord will send young people to study and work in the field of youth ministry. Through our close association with Acts 2 College of Mission and Evangelisation we are able to assist those willing to study youth ministry with the opportunity of becoming paid youth ministry interns. 2022 has seen a number of Youth Ministry Interns bless our ministry through their involvement in our youth groups and retreats. We have seen amazing fruit come from their labour. So, if interested in such a role, please contact us at 24:7 Youth Ministry to join the team that is reaching and equipping young people to live for God, full on, full time, all the time. |

Last week at Balcatta we had 19 young people join us for an exciting night. We started the night with the game PVC pipe. This was an exciting way to get into the night, with lots of spinning and tugging on each other to get the pipe knocked over. After, we played helicopter, where someone would spin around in a circle with a rope, and everyone had to jump over it, the last person left would be the winner. We then sat around the table for some food beforesitting and listening to one of our student leaders dad share his thoughts on praise and worship. He shared some marvellous analogies on how we present ourselves to God in prayerand the value of praise and worship. Next week, we are talking about what Lectio Divina is, and why it should belong in our daily prayer. |

At 24:7 Cottesloe we enjoyed another fun night at youth group. Father Liam came to share his testimony, sharing about his journey to discovering his vocation to priesthood. He also shared the story of how he helped a man in a shark attack. It was an awesome sharing and we are so grateful for Fr Liam’s support at youth group. We also enjoyed some fun games; with line chasey and soccer. In our free time we came together to play cards and do some drawing. Upcoming, we have our youth Mass this Sunday, the 6th of November! |

An incredible number of young people attended 24:7 Kingston last week - with 23 in attendance! After some energetic and active games 24:7 YM Director, Mario Borg shared about the opening words to the most famous of all prayers. The young people were encouraged to think about the radical nature of Jesus encouraging us to believe that God is a God for all people and that the reference to Father is controversial due to the loving and endearing nature of the title. This week's youth group promises even more fun! |

|
Last week at 24:7 Neddies, we had a super fun Surprise Night! We played a new game, Musical Dodgeball, which was a fun cross between musical chairs and dodgeball. We had such a blast at 24:7 Osborne Park this past Friday! We had so many amazing people in one room! We played a crazy game of Back to Back followed by a super intense and fun game of the Sam Music Relay! After playing some games, our speaker Jane Borg broke open our next topic which was on vocation and discernment. She shared about how we need to have a relationship with God so that we can properly understand what God is calling us to. Even though we might not always know, but Jesus has called each and every single one of us to something important. We each have a specific purpose on this earth. This coming week we will be having our TRIVIA NIGHT! It is going to be Disney themed so make sure to come dressed in your best Disney costumes! See you then! |

Such an amazing night at 24:7 Rockingham! We played Walls and Towers which was intense! There was a lot of running involved. Then we played Blindfold Race which meant the young people listened to multiple voices and then one singular voice. This emphasised theidea that listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit is better than listening to the world. After some epic games, Jude gave his first talk! He shared with us about a time in his life where he needed to listen to the voice of the Spirit and not the world. Come join us next week as we look at the gifts of the Holy Spirit! |

Last week we continue to dive deep into the corporal work of mercy at 24:7 Servite. We looked specifically at our call to "clothe the naked!" We played some fun games, including "what's been swapped?" A fun game where we tested the memory of the students by asking them to see if they can tell which pairs of shoes in a pile have been swapped! We also had a blindfold challenge, where we tried to match several pairs of shoes together without any sight, in 2 teams. We also had a very fun group newspaper fashion show! There were someincredible designs! Next week we are looking at "visit the imprisoned!" We hope to see you there! |

Last week at 24:7 Woodvale we kicked off the night with lots of fun games like ‘back to back’. Next, Peter ran us in ‘zombie’. A spooky high adrenaline pumping game! Lastly, Dominic ran us in “ultimate ninja,” also a favourite at Woodvale. Everyone made a big circle and had to strike their best ninja pose. After this, we reflected on our last talk, how to love like Jesus when we feel hurt and upset. We incorporated this theme into our prayer circle.Placing what we are learning into practice. We finished up the night with grace and headed off into food and mingling time. Next Woodvale, an incredible student leader will be courageously getting up to share tips on “how to love like Jesus, even when life is going well.” We hope to see you there! |
