Message from the Director The federal budget this week has taken the limelight across media outlets around the country, and so it should. Stewardship concerns us all. How our governments use the taxpayers' dollar matters. None of us want to see anything wasted from what is given. We all see that we can make a difference to our world through our taxable contributions to the national treasury. So too, we see that the stewardship of catering for young Catholics is of utmost importance. This treasury of faith filled young people, gifted through faith received at baptism and renewed at confirmation, is meant for the service of the Church for the betterment of the world. Unfortunately for most, we don't get to see amazing young Catholics like our youth Ministers and their leadership teams, do their thing. Our youth groups are the domain of teenagers and those just older. Our school retreats minister to primary and secondary school students. Older Catholic's rarely get an insight into the amazing work being done to prime young Catholics to engage in the mission of the church. So, as the spotlight shines on the billions of dollars being spent here and there, let's spare a thought and a prayer for our 24:7 Youth Ministry workers, who with little fanfare are hard at it investing in the vineyard, bearing fruit from among the greatest treasury of all - young people! Check out all that has gone on in the world that is the 24:7 Youth Ministry network below, seeking to reach and equip young people to live for God full on, full time, all the time. |

What a night! A bunch of young people had fun and a lot of laughs. We started off with some sports to get us moving, played a game of octopus, and even some Pictionary, which made for a fantastic night! But that's not all; Pictionary actually linked into our talk, which was the start of our identity theme of the term! We looked at how each person has different perspectives, and that the way we view ourselves may be different from others, but most importantly, we want to be able to see ourselves in a positive light. This is a great starting point as we go into the next youth group where we aim to up the levels of fun and learn about the ways social media may influence our self-identity. Is it good or bad, or maybe a bit of both? Hope to see you next time at 24:7 Applecross! |

Youth Group this Sunday night at 24:7 Balcatta was awesome! The night started off on an epic note! We all played a few chaotic rounds of the game 'Wall Tag'. This game is a fan favorite, and everyone got super involved and showed no mercy, being in it to win it. After 'Wall Tag', we played the 'Chocolate Game'. This game was super fun, and everyone got to eat some delicious chocolate and dress up in some fashionable clothes. Then we played 'Knights and Cavaliers'. This game was super fun, and we all tried our hardest to win the rounds! After we played our games, we gathered around the dinner table and shared a meal together. Then we watched as our Youth Minister, Gabe, and Volunteer Leader Aaron performed a skit about the 'Prodigal Son'. It was hilarious and helped us really understand the story. Then, our other Youth Minister, Jennifer, explained that God is a forgiving Father who is always merciful and willing to forgive us! She explained that no matter if we feel ashamed, we should always come to God and ask for forgiveness because He is always so willing to forgive. The night concluded with a lovely prayer circle and games of piggy in the middle and basketball on the basketball courts. Join us next week for another epic night! We will continue to explore our term theme of 'God is' and explain how God is kind and gentle. Spread the word and bring your friends! |

We had an awesome night at Ballajura this week! We started the night with basketball and card games. Once it got too dark outside, we moved inside and played a classic game: the name game. We then moved to a game called paper scissors hop. It involved racing against each other and intense rounds of paper scissors rock. We ended the games with a few rounds of Categories. We had Volunteer leader Catherine give a talk this week on the 4th commandment, "Honor your mother and father." With Mother's Day coming up, we decided this was a great opportunity to make Mother's Day cards for all the mother figures in our lives. We are on again in two weeks, on the 21st of May. We look forward to seeing everyone there!! |

The night started off with a game of Werewolf as the youth arrived. People were engaged and having a lot of fun! We then moved to hide and seek Pictionary, which was a close game. Words related to the creation story were given, and the youth had to draw them for their team! Next, we had a talk on the creation story while sharing pizza, and then we played a game of Alias, trying to find who the faker was! Next week will be at New Town, and we will see Jesus as the Light of the World! |

This week at 24:7 Greenwood, we had an amazing night of fun, food, and games. We started our night with fellowship times for games, dodgeball, music, and time to catch up with each other before moving into our first game of Knights, Horses & Cavaliers. Our second game for the night was a very close game of Card Rugby, which came right down to the final round. This week, we were lucky enough to be joined by another amazing guest, Aidan. Aidan helped to explore the next piece of the Armour of God, which was the Breastplate of Righteousness, and he explained why this was such an important piece of the Armour. Join us next week as we explore the next amazing piece of the Armour of God!! |

This week at Nedlands youth group, we had a fun evening playing some fun games, as well as having a Nacho table feast to go along with our theme of "feeding the hungry." Kristian gave an awesome talk highlighting the many ways we can do this in our lives. Next week, we will be looking at giving water to the thirsty. |

Last week at 24:7 Osborne Park, we began the night with a game of Octopus and a Youth Mission Team classic, "Draggin' Chain". This was followed by our Alpha Course topic on "Ghosting". We finished the night with sausage rolls, party pies and a vibrant game of Soccer. Get excited for next week! |

What an amazing night at 24:7 Rocko! We played old and new games and saw many of our favourite familiar faces! We officially started the next section of our term theme as we explore the Holy Spirit, the third Person in the Holy Trinity. This week, Jerome introduced us to the Person of the Holy Spirit, touching on His incredible power, purpose, and His workings in Jerome's own life. Next week, we continue this journey as we examine why the Holy Spirit is referred to as the Mighty Counselor. We pray that as we journey deeper into this term, we can see the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives, ever clearer! |

This week at youth group, we had another great night with 13 youths attending. Starting the night, we had a great time in fellowship playing soccer, dancing and hanging out with each other. We then played Crossing the River Jordan, where we used team-building skills and worked together, having a fun race across the room. We then played another game, Kitty Wants a Chair, which was super fun, with all of us laughing and engaged throughout the night. We ended the night with our first-term talk, the Gospel of Matthew, and food and fellowship. An incredible night! |
