Arrive on time for all youth group events including leadership meetings.
Communicate with advance notice when unable to attend a youth group or event.
Maintain a positive attitude at all youth group events.
Actively assist with setup and cleanup of all youth group events.
Diligently attend to all tasks assigned by the youth minister/s.
Enthusiastically participate in all activities that make up the youth group event.
Pay attention to the needs of the young people in attendance at a youth group event.
Refrain from spending time with other leaders at the expense of young people at a youth group event.
Report any significant matters immediately to the youth ministers.
Dress appropriately and in professional manner:- Appropriate Pants: Jeans / Chinos without rips, Shorts that are no shorter than mid-thigh. Skirts are not encouraged.- Appropriate Shoes: Runners, Sneakers, Ballet Flats, Sandals, Boots, Birkenstocks and Slides. Thongs are discouraged.
Leader’s shirt to be worn at all youth group / events. (When it is cold a jacket or coat can be worn ensuring your leader’s shirt is visible)
Always treat young people and all members of the leadership team with respect. Please advise youth ministers if any conflict arises large or small.
Act in a friendly and professional manner when dealing with parents.
Always respect the authority of the Youth Ministers assigned to your youth group.
Refrain from any behavior that is seen as a distraction to what is supposed to be happening at a youth group event.
Approach the Director of 24:7 YM if you are unable to discuss something with your youth minister/s that may seriously impact on the youth group.
Always seek to be the best leader you can be through seeking feedback and advice from other members of your leadership team.
